The science
What is TB-500?
TB-500 is a synthetic peptide based on a short, active section of thymosin beta-4, a protein found in almost every cell in the body. Thymosin beta-4 helps cells build actin, part of the internal scaffolding cells use to change shape and move.
Researchers have studied thymosin beta-4 for its possible role in cell movement, blood vessel formation, and tissue repair. Most of that research has been done in the lab and in animals, and the few human trials used the full thymosin beta-4 protein, not the TB-500 fragment. TB-500 is not FDA-approved to treat any condition.
That's why every TB-500 protocol at Onus starts with a consultation. Your provider reviews your history and goals, explains what the research does and doesn't show, and decides with you whether TB-500 belongs in your plan.
The research
What TB-500 is being studied for
Tissue repair
Lab and animal studies look at muscle, tendon, and wound healing.
Cell movement
Research looks at how it helps cells move to where they're needed.
Recovery plans
Often discussed alongside training, rehab, rest, and BPC-157.
Medically supervised
Provider-led plan and regular check-ins.
Research on TB-500 is early and mostly preclinical. Individual results vary, and no outcome is guaranteed.

TB-500 FAQ
What is TB-500?
TB-500 is a synthetic peptide based on a short section of thymosin beta-4, a protein found in nearly every cell in the body. It has been studied, mostly in the lab and in animals, for its possible role in cell movement and tissue repair.
Is TB-500 FDA-approved?
No. TB-500 is not approved by the FDA to treat any condition, and human research on it is limited. Your provider will talk through what is and isn't known before you decide whether it belongs in your plan.
What's the difference between TB-500 and thymosin beta-4?
Thymosin beta-4 is the full natural protein. TB-500 is a synthetic version of a short section of it. Much of the published research, including the small human trials, used the full protein, so those results don't automatically carry over to TB-500.
Can TB-500 be combined with BPC-157?
Your provider may recommend them together. We offer the pair as our Wolverine Blend. Whether a combination makes sense for you is decided at your consultation.
How is TB-500 taken?
Your provider writes a personalized prescription, which you can pick up in store or have shipped to your home in Colorado. A nurse or nurse practitioner walks you through how to use and store it, in store or over telehealth.
Do I need a prescription for TB-500?
Yes. At Onus IV Therapy & Longevity, TB-500 is only prescribed after a consultation with a licensed provider who determines whether it's appropriate for you.
Can athletes use TB-500?
If you compete in a sport that drug tests, check before you start. TB-500 is on the World Anti-Doping Agency's prohibited list.
How much does TB-500 cost?
TB-500 starts at $250 for a 10 mg vial. Larger vials are $350 (20 mg), $450 (30 mg), and $550 (40 mg). Your provider recommends the right amount for your protocol, and we review your price at your free consultation.
