The short answerIV hydration delivers fluids, electrolytes, and vitamins straight into your bloodstream through a small IV in your arm, so they don't have to pass through your digestive system first. The science

How does IV hydration work?

When you drink fluids, they're absorbed gradually through your gut. An IV delivers a measured bag of fluids and nutrients directly into a vein instead.

1. A quick health screen

We review your health history and help you choose a drip.

2. A small IV is placed

A nurse places a thin, flexible line in a vein in your arm.

3. Your drip runs

Fluids, electrolytes, and vitamins flow in over about 30 to 45 minutes.

A little history

Where did IV hydration come from?

IV fluids have been used in medicine for well over a century. The Myers' Cocktail, a blend of magnesium, calcium, B vitamins, and vitamin C, is named after Dr. John Myers, a Baltimore physician who used it with his patients. Onus was founded in 2014 by three mountain bikers who wanted that kind of IV experience in a quick, relaxed setting in Colorado.
